Our Second Annual Golf Classic fundraiser is just a FEW WEEKS away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Cantigny Golf Course.
We still have foursomes available. Whether you are a business in Kane or DuPage County or someone who loves golf and helping others, this is a great way to connect to your community.
Below are testimonials from DSCC and KSC volunteers. If you'd like to make a difference in a senior's life or want to be impacted by seniors, join our volunteer team.
"When I was a teenager, my grandfather delivered meals on wheels to other senior citizens in his community after retirement.
Knowing how rewarding this was for him inspired me to volunteer after my retirement last year. It is wonderful meeting people from all backgrounds in our community and hearing their stories and how they appreciate the program.
It is those wonderful people in our community who make this experience especially rewarding."

"I have grown to love the people I deliver meals to every Monday.
They become friends and look forward to my visit as much as I enjoy them.
I leave each one of them with a smile on my face and most of the time on their face also.
I do take time to talk to them if they want to but this makes me feel as good as I think it does them."
If you volunteer with us and would like to inspire others, we encourage you to share your volunteer story.
GIVING AND ADVOCATING
Donating To Help Seniors
Caring For Seniors' Pets
To combat loneliness, many seniors often live with a pet. While these pets make their lives more enjoyable, for some, caring for their pets adds stress and worry to their lives.
That’s why we offer our Pet Food & Assistance service in both DuPage and Kane Counties.
To support this program, we rely on donations of pet food to give to seniors.
You can help by purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist and sending the products to our Lombard office.
You can also donate directly to our Pet Food & Assistance fund and we'll buy food for the program.
DSCC was a recipient of two very generous donations listed below.
For the seniors we serve in DuPage County, this means we can continue to offer programs and services like Home Delivered Meals, Friendly Visits, Well-Being Checks, and other essential services that fulfill our mission of helping seniors live independently.
DuPage Foundation Donation
On June 5, the DuPage Foundation awarded nearly $940,000 to 52 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations through its Community Impact grant program - including DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC).
During DuPage Foundation’s spring grant cycle each year, local not-for-profits like us, serving DuPage County in the areas of health & human services, are awarded funding that supports programs and projects that improve and enrich the quality of life for DuPage County residents.
